Boomboxtalgia

2024–Present · Watercolor on paper

Boomboxtalgia revisits the sound technologies that shaped urban and musical culture in the 1980s and 1990s. Boomboxes and portable radios appear in densely assembled paintings, their designs and worn surfaces carrying traces of everyday use. Through watercolor, these obsolete devices become a meeting place for personal memories and a shared history of listening.
